BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – Area cross country runners participated at the Belle Fourche Invitational Thursday morning.
Rapid City Central won the boys standings with Belle Fourche placing second and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte third.
Winning the boys race was Yadriel Munoz of Rapid City Central, finishing in a time of 17:00.23
Lennon Clarkson of Belle Fourche was second and two Cobblers finished in third and fourth. They were Tarin Hutchinson and Aidan Hermsen.
Ty Ferguson of Sturgis finished in sixth.
On the girls side, Sturgis claimed the team title with five runners finishing in the top ten. Rapid City Central was second and Belle Fourche was third.
Lia Mundt of Belle Fourche won the girls race in a time of 20:09.54.
Lucy Hamer and Paige Willnerd of Sturgis were second and third respectively. Keelin Dinkins of Sturgis was fifth and her teammates Iris Zylstra and Emille Reedy finished in 7th and 8th respectively.
