Area legislative race results from Tuesday’s election

UNDATED – It was election day yesterday, and there were several legislative races in the area.

Gary Cammack won the District 29 Senate race over Libertarian challenger Kent Wilsey. Cammack won with 78-percent of the vote.

Republicans Dean Wink and Kirk Chaffee won the District 29 State Representative race over Jade Addison.

In the District 35 Representative race, Tina Mulally and Tony Randolph won seats, Jessica Castleberry won the District 35 Senate race. Mike Derby and Jess Olson won the District 34 State Representative race and Michael Diedrich won the District 34 Senate race. David Johnson won the District 33 Senate race.

In District 32,  Chris Johnson and Becky Drury won the Representative race and Helene Duhammel won the Senate race. Scott Odenbach and Mary Fitzgerald won the District 31 Representative race and Julie Frye Mueller won the District 30 Senate race.

Republican Liz May and Democrat Peri Pourier won the District 27 State Representative race and Democrat Red Dawn Foster won the District 27 Senate race.

Rebecca Reimer won the District 26B Representative race and Troy Heiner won District 26 Senate.

In some local county races, Travis Lasseter won a seat on the Pennington County  Commission. John Wayne Helms won a seat on the Harding County Commission.

In Rapid City, Ron Weifenbach won a race for city council Ward 1.
