RAPID CITY, S.D. – Authorities have now issued a felony arrest warrant for Kobey Saunsoci, charging him with two counts of 1st Degree Escape.
He is the man who escaped Thursday.
Saunsoci is a 22-year-old Native American male. He is described as approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Saunsoci is believed to be in or around Rapid City, South Dakota.
Saunsoci was in the custody of DOC for an appointment at Monument Health when he escaped and fled the area on foot. He was last seen running northbound on 5th St. past Saint Thomas More.
Law enforcement advises against approaching Saunsoci if spotted. Instead, individuals are urged to contact the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office at 605-394-6117, the Rapid City Police Department at 605-394-4131, or the nearest law enforcement agency with any information that may lead to his arrest.
