PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg announced he is ramping up the search for missing persons in South Dakota.
Ravnsborg says at any given time, there are around 120 missing people in the state.
“I want to try and bring awareness to that fact and find some of these people as we go through this process.”
There’s a ‘missing persons’ tab on the Attorney General’s website which lists information of those currently missing including descriptions and in many cases a picture.
Ravnsborg says he is also adding a new program.
“Missing Persons Monday is what it’s called, and every Monday going forward. we’re gonna highlight one of these individuals who is missing.”
Ravnsborg says he has also reached out to South Dakota Native American communities in an effort to find missing indigenous women and others.
