Authorities identify individual shot to death in Friday night altercation

RAPID CITY, S. D. – The Rapid City Police Department has identified the individual killed in a shooting on Friday.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Samuel Koscak.

Police say Koscak was shot and killed during an altercation with Julion Graham, 26 in an alley in the 200 block of E. Monroe St.

Police say it appears a physical altercation over a debt occurred between Graham and Koscak. Video evidence shows Koscak beating Graham with a blunt instrument before Graham shot him.
