BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. — Authorities have released the name of a man who died due to a house fire in Belle Fourche last weekend.
The victim’s name is 77-year-old Richard L. Phillips.
Fire crews responded to the blaze on Sunday just before 6:00 p.m. and found the home on Prairie Hills Road engulfed in flames.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate Phillips died of smoke inhalation.
Investigators were still working on determining the official cause of the fire.
