RAPID CITY, S.D. – Authorities have released the name of the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car in Box Elder Saturday night.
The highway patrol says 24-year-old Ivan Reddest Jr. of Kyle was killed when he was struck by a car on Highway 1416.
The patrol says Reddest had walked out of the median and into the eastbound left lane of the highway when he was struck.
Officials also reported that the driver of the car sustained minor injuries but was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The patrol was investigating the crash.
