RAPID CITY, S.D. – Wilson Kieffer lifted a ball into deep right field in the seventh inning that brought home the winning run for Post 22 at the Veterans Classic Thursday night.
Kieffer’s deep fly ball brought in Tate Crosswait to give the Hardhats an 8-7 win over Lincoln Southwest.
Post 22 ended up leaving 10 runners on base through six innings, unable to capitalize on multiple bases-loaded situations. However, they rallied when it mattered most. Peyton Tipton went 3 for 4, including two doubles and four R.B.I. to help lead the Hardhats. Seven different batters picked up a hit.
