BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – Fire crews in Belle Fourche were among those responding to a grass fire that burned dangerously close to homes Tuesday.
The Canyon Lane Fire was reported just after 1:00 p.m. about 2 miles south of Belle Fourche.
The fire burned approximately 5.6 acres before being contained by 2:30 p.m.
The fire did threaten structures in the area.
Cause of the fire was under investigation.
