Belle Fourche wins both girls and boys team titles of Northern Hills Invite

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The Belle Fourche boys and girls won the team titles of their home track and field meet Monday.

The Bronc boys finished with 194.2, well ahead of second place St Thomas More at 90.2. The Bronc girls finished with 149.25 with St Thomas More coming in second with 101.

In boys results, James Burke of Lead-Deadwood captured the 100 meters with Gavin Farlee of Timber Lake claiming the 200 meters. Lane Krautschun of Belle Fourche won the 400 meters and Ryder Downey of Sundance captured the 800 meters. Sawyer Clarkson won the 1,600 meters and the 3,200 meters.

Jason Schuchard of Harding County took the 110 meter hurdles and Ezra Wildeman of Rapid City  Christian took the 300 meter hurdles.

In the relay races, Belle Fourche won the 4×100 and 4×400, Harding County won the 4×200 and Hill City won the special medley relay.

In field events, Gunnar Geib of Belle Fourche won the shot put, Keaton Mills of Sundance took the discus, Kolby Denke of St Thomas More captured the javelin, Keaton Mills of Sundance won the high jump, Chase Maher of RC Christian claimed the pole vault, Tyson Durham of St Thomas More won the long jump and Gracen Hanson of Timber Lake got the triple jump victory.

In girls results; Shay Kraft of Timber Lake won the 100 and the 200 meters, Sadie Marshall got the 400 meters, Paetyn Carlin of St Thomas More took the 800 meters, Abby Cutler of Hill City won the 1,600 and Ava Allen of Belle Fourche got the 3,200 meters.

In the hurdles, Mylee Sebo of St Thomas More claimed both the 100 and 300 meters.

In the relay races, Hill City won the 4×100, Timber Lake captured the 4×200 and Belle Fourche won the 4×400, 4×800 and the special medley relay.

In field events, Kayla Dilka of Rapid City Christian won the shot put and the discus throw, Brook Bennett of Custer won the javelin, BeJae Tesch of Newell captured the high jump, Piper Rogers of Lead-Deadwood claimed the pole vault, and Mataya Ward of Belle Fourche won both the triple jump and the high jump.
