Belle Fourche Wrestling Coach announces retirement

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The upcoming season will be the final season for Belle Fourche Wrestling Coach Bill Abell.

Abell says he’s had some medical issues pop up and told the Black Hills Pioneer that “seems to be in front of my ability to be as good a coach as I can be.”

Abell took over the Belle Fourche wrestling program in 2012 and saw a steady increase in growth.

Abell says he made the early retirement announcement in hopes of generating interest from a younger coach to take over the program.
