RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association held its 84th annual Membership Meeting and Awards Ceremony at the Downtown Holiday Inn this week.
This year The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs was given the Special Achievement Award. Ivan Sorbel with the Pine Ridge Chamber of Commerce was honored with the Pioneer Award.
The Association says tourism spending in the Black Hills and Badlands Region amounted to $1.9 billion in 2023.
Around 170 people attended this year’s conference.
