SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University football team capped another successful season in the friendly confines of Lyle Hare Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they secured their third consecutive winning season at home and their best record at home since the 2007 season with a commanding 45-3 victory over Adams State.
The Yellow Jackets had to overcome a slow start as the Grizzlies hung around and kept the game close, but a blocked punt and a 22-yard field goal as time expired in the first half was all BHSU needed to ignite a spark.
The Green & Gold then eventually came out of the locker room and created the separation they needed with 14 third quarter points and 21 fourth quarter points en route to their largest victory since a 2022 victory over Fort Lewis (75-0).
