SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State football played tough against RV CSU Pueblo in the team’s season finale, falling 42-37 Saturday night.
The Yellow Jackets (6-5, 5-4 RMAC) bested the ThunderWolves with 471 yards of total offense, 171 rushing yards, 300 passing yards, and 27 first downs.
Tanner Clarkson completed 23 of 34 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground he added 12 carries for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Nolan Susel rushed 20 times for 109 yards and a touchdown, and hauled in four catches for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Hasaan Williams tallied a touchdown and 113 receiving yards on eight catches.
John Noordsy made two catches for 30 yards and a touchdown, and Jamin Wurtz hauled in 4 catches for 45 yards.
Defensively, Zecheriah Rodriguez-Brown led the team with 11 tackles. Raymond Iglesias made a sack on his six tackles.
Coleman Chapman booted a 46-yard field goal.

CHADRON, Neb. – The South Dakota Mines football team headed just across the state border to Nebraska and took on Chadron State.
The Hardrockers started slow and eventually battled back, but it wasn’t enough, falling in their final game of the season to end the season below .500 for the first time in Coach Flohr’s tenure.
Chadron escaped with a 27 to 19 win.
