BHSU wins 7th game of season

ALAMOSA, Colo. – Black Hills State football took down Adams State, 38-7 on Saturday afternoon in the team’s final road game of the year.

The Yellow Jackets (7-3, 5-3 RMAC) totaled four interceptions in the contest, including two by Zechariah Rodriguez-Brown, and pick-sixes from Lovenski Simon and Nicc Quinones.

Doodles Quinones added a pair of breakups, while Deunte Moody, Bailey Rosenstrauch and Aaron Thiele also contributed one each.

Rosenstrauch led the team with six tackles, while Moody and Doodles Quinones each made five.

On the line, the defense totaled four sacks, including solos from Morgan Tigner, Nikolas Arnold and Aric Eades.

Offensively, Nolan Susel totaled 130 yards on the ground, and scored his 12th and 13th rushing touchdowns of the season.

Cameron Goods ran 10 times for a total of 49 yards and Isaiah Pressley totaled 35 yards and a touchdown on four carries.

Hasaan Williams led the receivers with three catches for 14 yards, while TJ Chukwurah hauled in one catch for 40 yards.

Kicker Coleman Chapman was a perfect 5-of-5 on point-after tries, and booted a 51-yard field goal.
