NEWELL, S.D. – In Cross Country action Friday, Bison won the boys team title while Lemmon won the girls team title at the Newell Cross Country Invitational.
Newell finished in second behind Bison in the boys standings with Black Hills Christian Academy in third.
Placing second in the girls’ team standings was Hulett with Bison capturing third.
Winning the boys race was Lane Krautschun of Bison, finishing in a time of 18:33.39.
Newell’s Garret Winkler was second and William Burkhalter of Bison was third.
Winning the girls race was Ahnya Ivie-Moody of Hulett in a time of 23:28.23.
Chel Odenbach of Lemmon was second and her teammate Brynn Odenbach was third.
