Black Hills Conference Track and Field Results

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Black Hills Conference Track and Field Championships were held Friday at O’Harra Stadium in Rapid City.

The Sturgis boys had a dominating day, winning the team title for the second straight year.

Spearfish won the girls team title.

In boys’ results, Aiden Hedderman was a double-event winner, taking the 110 meter hurdles and the pole vault.

Other Scooper boys’ winners include Ty Petrocco in the 3,200 meters, Aaron Morovits in the shot put and discus, and Levi Brant in the javelin.

Braden Peterson of Hot Springs was also a double-event winner, taking the 100 and 200 – meters. Matt Close, also of Hot Springs, won the 44 meters.

On the girls side, Custer’s Jordyn Larsen won the 100 and 200 meters. Peyton VanDeest of Spearfish won the 800 meters and the 1,600 meters.

Spearfish dominated the relay races, claiming the 4×200, 4×400, 4×800 and 1,600 medley.

For Sturgis, Avery Marler won the long jump.
