STURGIS, S.D. – Black Hills State Men’s Basketball team got an at large bid and will play their consecutive NCAA Division II berth.
Black Hills State men’s basketball will enter the 2023 NCAA DII Tournament as the No. 6 seed in the South Central Region, which will be hosted by West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.
In the first round of the regional tournament, the No. 6 Yellow Jackets (25-5, 18-4 RMAC) will face off with No. 3 Colorado School of Mines (26-5, 18-4) on Saturday, March 11 at 12 p.m.
BHSU faced CSM twice this season, winning both contests including an 85-77 win in Golden, Colo. before an 85-66 win at home on Feb. 3.

Black Hills State women’s basketball will enter the 2023 NCAA DII Tournament as the No. 6 seed in the South Central Region, which will be hosted by Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas on March 10 through March 13.
In the first round of the regional tournament, the No. 6 Yellow Jackets (22-7, 17-5 RMAC) will face off against a familiar opponent in No. 3 Regis University (25-6, 19-3 RMAC) on March 10 with a 12 p.m. tipoff.
