RAPID CITY, S.D. – First responders in Rapid City were on the scene of a car vs building incident Wednesday afternoon.
Police and Rapid City Fire Department officials say the incident occurred in the 1300 block of West Omaha Street. Pictures from the scene show a white passenger car had jumped the curb and had crashed into the building – home to Bella Tan and Trendz Salon.
When crews arrived, they found an elderly woman still in the vehicle. She was transported to the hospital, and it is believed a medical issue is the cause of the crash.
No one inside the business was hurt and the woman’s condition and name were not immediately released.
Police are currently investigating the crash.
