STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis, Fort Meade and Whitewood fire crews responded to a fire on the steep slopes of Sly Hill Sunday night.
The fire was located in an area northeast of Woodle Field and above the Sturgis Bike Park.
There was no immediate word on the amount of acreage burned nor the cause of the fire.
Sly Hill Road was closed while crews worked the fire.
Fire crews were seen working the fire from above on Sly Hill, and below the hill.
