Brenda Sue Linneweber, 64, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Monument Health Hospice House in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Brenda was born on March 28, 1960 to William “Bill” and Ruth Pelley in Sioux Falls, SD. Brenda graduated from Washington High School Sioux Falls in 1978.
At Washington High School she would meet her high school sweetheart and future husband, Rob Linneweber. They were united in marriage on May 26, 1979.
Brenda worked for Raven Industries in Sioux Falls. The family would move to Piedmont in 1986. Brenda worked as a paraprofessional for Stagebarn and Piedmont schools for many years. She also worked the school’s afterschool care program where she loved taking care of the children.
Brenda was also a member of the Piedmont Volunteer Fire Department for many years acting as an administrative officer.
Brenda loved her gardens and plants and spent hours working on them. She also enjoyed camping with her family.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Rob Linneweber; sons, Jason Linneweber of Box Elder, and Travis (Katie) Linneweber of Sioux Falls; daughter, Emily (Arwen) Reno of Baraboo, WI; grandchildren, Braelee, Liam, Ben, and Jon; siblings, Pam (Ken) Cunningham, Pat Miller, Brad (Ginger) Pelley all of Sioux Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ruth Pelley; and sister, Paulette Heigh.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Black Hills Funeral Home in Sturgis. Immediately following the service the family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the Piedmont Fire Department, 15755 Sturgis Road in Piedmont.
