SPEARFISH, S.D. — A hard-fought battle between the Casper Horseheads and the Sasquatch fell in favor of the Horseheads. The Sasquatch lost by a score of 5-3.
Ryan Bachman would get things started, hitting a sacrifice fly to put the Sasquatch out in front, 1-0. Casper would go ahead and score three runs in the fifth inning to take the lead, 3-1. Ryan Bachman would again be the momentum changer the Sasquatch needed, hitting an infield RBI to make it a one-run game. The Sasquatch would not score another run for the remainder of the game while Casper added on two more in the ninth.
Hunter Runion was phenomenal on the mound, as he started for the Sasquatch pitching in four innings and striking out six batters. Jack VanDoran would pitch in the next two innings and strike out four batters. It would be Hayden Slyte to finish off the game and he would go on to strike out three batters.
