RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City has a new and unique coffee shop.

Called Coffee and the Cats, it’s the first of its kind in town as it offers customers the opportunity to not only enjoy a cup of joe, but also the ability to play with cats and kittens from the Humane Society of the Black Hills.

Customers can reserve a spot in the “Kitty Kove” if they’d like to get some cuddles. Reservations are $10 an hour and all proceeds go towards kitty care and supplies.

As part of the shop’s sponsorship with the Human Society, people can also adopt the cats as well.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m.
