NEWELL, S.D. – A full weekend of fun. That’s how Newell Community Club member and long-time volunteer Cheyenne Vig describes the annual Newell Labor Day Celebration underway this weekend.
Saturday’s events include a 5K Fun Run/Walk, the Whistle Stop Market, a Quilt Show, the Newell Museum, FFA Goat Roping, Fireman’s BBQ and a street dance. The Ranch Rodeo & Calcutta offers a little different take on the popular event, according to Vig.
