SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Chick-fil-A will build its first restaurant in Sioux Falls.
Mayor Paul TenHaken happily proclaimed the announcement ‘live’ on Facebook.
“We’re are getting a Chick-fil-A in Sioux Falls! You hear that. All the grade schools and elementary schools that I visit, that’s the number one question hands down.”
The long-sought restaurant will be located at the new Empire Place development in front of the Empire Mall on 41st Street. The development is under construction.
The announcement ends days of speculation on social media about what the Mayor would be revealing on Facebook.
“That’s the exciting news. Not running for Congress. Not getting rid of property taxes. It’s even more exciting than that. It’s about chicken sandwiches.”
