STURGIS – If you want to know what events are happening in Sturgis, a monthly meeting is now planned for citizens to get an update.
The Sturgis Rally & Events Department and the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau will host a monthly meeting to update the community on events planned by both organizations and will be available to answer any questions.
The meetings will be open to the public and will last about 45 minutes. The first meeting will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Sturgis Coffee, 2275 Lazelle St., Sturgis.
It will also be a time when the public can bring their event ideas to each organization.
“We will not be taking on new events, but instead be available to help other groups start their events,” said Sturgis Rally & Events Director Tammy Even-Cordell.
The meetings will end in June (because of the City of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally) and begin again in September, Even-Cordell said.
Any questions, call Even-Cordell at 605-347-4422 Ext. 207 or Veronica Grosek at the Sturgis Chamber at 605-347-2556.
