STURGIS, S.D. – The City of Sturgis is requesting bids from qualified commercial plumbers to replace a rusting water main line entering the Sturgis Community Center.
In a release Tuesday, the city says this project will also include adding individual shut off valves for each sink and stool in the facility.
The project site can be viewed from 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday by contacting the Community Center at (605) 347-4422 and speaking with Judd Crowser, Maintenance Superintendent.
Although the main line has not failed, the city say they consider this project an emergency priority to get completed.
Interested commercial plumbers may submit their project estimates by 2pm on March 27th, 2023. This estimate must also include a start date for the project as well as an estimated completion date.
The project should also describe the number of day(s) that the Community Center water supply will be directly impacted / shut off.
Successful contractor must be licensed with the City of Sturgis prior to start of this project.
