RAPID CITY, S.D. – At the Rapid City Area Schools Invitational High School Cross Country Meet Friday, Sawyer Clarkson of Belle Fourche captured first place in the boys race.
Clarkson finished with a time of 15:23.53.
Keenan Urdiales of Spearfish was second, Lane Krautschun of Bison was third and Austin Akers placed fourth.
In the girls race, Ellie Maddox of Sioux Falls Christian came in first with a time of 18:20.82.
Addison Forry of Laramie, Wyoming was second, Brionna Holso of Rapid City Stevens was third and Peyton VanDeest of Spearfish was fourth.
Winning the boys team title was Sheridan with Stevens second and Sioux Falls Christian was third. Sturgis placed fifth.
Winning the girls team title was Stevens with Sheridan placing second and Custer third. Sturgis placed tenth.
