UNDATED — Max Abmas had a career-high 42 points as Oral Roberts got past South Dakota State 103-86. Matt Dentlinger led the Jackrabbits with 16 points. Abmas shot 5 of 8 from 3-point range and 9 of 10 from the line for the second biggest output in the nation this season. D’Moi Hodge of Cleveland State scored 46 points.

Bentiu Panoam had a career-high 25 points as North Dakota beat South Dakota 85-76. A.J. Plitzuweit led the Coyotes with 27 points.
In women’s basketball, Myah Selland scored 18 points, Sydney Stapleton had all nine of her points in a stunning second quarter and No. 23 South Dakota State rolled to an 82-60 win over Oral Roberts. The Jackrabbits bolted to their 13th straight win by hitting all 11 of their field-goal attempts, seven from 3-point range, to outscore the Golden Eagles 32-13 in the second quarter. Eight different players scored, five hitting a 3-pointer and Stapleton hitting three. Tierney Coleman and Keni Jo Lippe scored 16 each for Oral Roberts.

The South Dakota Mines Hardrockers defeated the Colorado Christian University Cougars 68-52 Saturday afternoon in Goodell Gymnasium.
Kolten Mortensen came out of the gate hot scoring the first nine points for the Hardrockers on three consecutive three-pointers. The Hardrockers used everyone in the half as 7 of 8 ‘Rockers scored. The ‘Rockers never looked back after that in the first half leading 30-22 heading into the locker room at halftime.
Meanwhile, in the women’s game;
On a cold Saturday afternoon in Rapid City, the South Dakota Mines women’s basketball team was red hot in Goodell gymnasium, defeating the Colorado Christian University Cougars 71-41, during a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup.
The ‘Rockers got off to a slow start only scoring 11 points in the first quarter, but the Cougars only found the basket once in that 10-minute span as the home team led, 11-2. In the second quarter, the ‘Rockers picked up the pace putting up 20 markers in the period and held a sizable advantage at the half, 31-14. Bailey Johnson led the balanced attack in the first half for SDM, scoring nine points.
