College Volleyball – BHSU falls to Westminster in three; Mines’ falls to CO Mesa

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Black Hills State women’s volleyball fell to Westminster College in straight sets Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets lost set one 25-20, lost set two 25-17, and lost set three 27-25.

Madison Hoopman led the Yellow Jackets in kills recording 11 on the afternoon.

Karly Marx led the team in assists recording 35 and was also the dig leader for BHSU with eight.

The South Dakota Mines Volleyball team was facing a tough challenger on Saturday night when they battled a 12-4 Colorada Mesa Mavericks team.

After a sweep over Westminster on Friday night, the Hardrockers were not able to carry their momentum over, falling in three sets, to split the weekend.

The Mavericks won in sets of 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.
