UNDATED – After dropping their opening round game to Wagner Thursday night, Rapid City Christian was in action this afternoon vs Sioux Falls Christian, who was upset by sixth seeded Sisseton last night.
It is the first trip to the state tournament in 27 years for the Lady Comets, and Sioux Falls Christian was a little too much for them today, as the Chargers held on for a 52 to 42 win.
Alexa Ham, who had 14 points for the Lady Comets, fouled out of the game with 2:53 to play.
In the earlier game at the State A Tournament, Flandreau defeated Lakota Tech 55 to 41.
At the State AA Tournament, Rapid City Stevens tangled with Sioux Falls O’Gorman and dropped a hard fought game to the Knights, 56-48.
Isabell Higgins scored 13 points and secured 16 rebounds to lead the Raiders.
In the earlier matchup in Sioux Falls, Mitchell defeated Watertown 48 to 37.
At the State B Tournament in Huron, Jones County was victorious and will play for fifth place Saturday after a 47-38 win over Sully Buttes.
In the late afternoon game, Castlewood held on for a 51 to 47 win over Howard.
