Cory James Hudgin, 49, passed away November 16, 2024, at Fort Meade VA Medical Center.
Cory was born on June 15, 1975, to James Hudgin and Sheila Stone in Sterling, Illinois. He graduated from Newman Central Catholic High School and joined the US Air Force right after. Cory spent many years living a life of adventure, and misadventure, living in both Illinois and Colorado where he had many friends and made lots of memories. In October 2015, he was looking for a change and moved to South Dakota where his cousins, Skip and Angie, gave him a place to stay and a fresh start in life. In 2016, while delivering pizzas at Domino’s in Rapid City, he met his wife, Alex. They built a life together with her two children, Aubrey and Austin, who Cory loved more than anything in the world, like they were his own. Everyone who knew Cory knows that he loved to fish and loved his Chicago sports! He loved spending time with his family and riding his 1975 Honda Gold Wing, “same year as me!”
Cory will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
