Crews work on new signal head at busy Sturgis intersection Tuesday

STURGIS, S.D. – Traffic at the intersection of Ball Park Road and Junction Avenue was controlled Tuesday as crews worked on replacing a new signal head.

Lighting Maintenance Company was working on removing and installing the signal head over Junction Avenue as well as the pole at the corner of Ball Park and Junction.

The pole was damaged earlier this year when it was struck by a truck and trailer.

Southbound traffic was being rerouted into the middle turning lane of Junction as work was being done Tuesday afternoon.
