CUSTER, S.D. – In cross country Thursday, the Sturgis girls claimed the team title of the Eldon Knudson Invitational in Custer.
The girls finished with 17 points with Custer finishing in a distant second with 50.
Winning the race was Jade Ecoffey of Red Cloud, finishing in a time of 20:18.76. Two of her teammates finished in second and third – Ashland Blount and Rarity Cournoyer.
Keeling Dinkins of Sturgis placed fourth with fellow Scoopers Brinna Sheldon and Lucy Hamer finishing in fifth and sixth respectively.
No men’s results were reported.
