UNDATED – Brookings, Spearfish, and Sioux Falls are playing host to the 2021 SDHSAA spring golf championships this week. This annual event consists of all three classes of girls golf, and boys ‘B.’
Leading the team standings of the Class AA Girls tournament is Sioux Falls O’Gorman with 309. Mitchell is second with a 330 and Aberdeen Central is third with a 333. Sioux Falls Lincoln is fourth, Harrisburg is fifth and Rapid City Stevens is sixth.
Leading the individual standings is Reese Jansa of Harrisburg with a 66. Shannon McCormick of O’Gorman is second with a 72 and Lauren Sutcliffe of O’Gorman is a stroke back in third. Highest placing West River athlete is Tara Phares of Stevens tied at sixth.
At Class A Girls:
Sioux Falls Christian is leading the team standings with a 352 followed by Sisseton in second and Winner in third. St Thomas More is in sixth place.
Leading the individual standings are Maiya Muller of Beresford and Kelsey Heath of Sisseton, who are tied for first with a 75. Rylan Horning of St Thomas More sits in fourth place.
At Class B Girls:
Estelline/Hendricks leads the team standings with a 268. Bison is second with a 275 and White River is in third with a 278.
Leading the individual standings are Kaylee Johnson of Estelline/Hendricks and Bison’s Greta Anderson who are tied at the top with an 80. Miller’s Jace Pugh is third and Allison Kahler of Bison sits in fourth.
And, as the Class B Boys tournament:
Great Plains Lutheran leads the team standings with a 253. Platte-Geddes is second with a 256 and Chester is third with a 257. Wall is tied for eighth place after day one.
Leading the individual standings is Sam Hansen of GPL with a 73. Jett Becker of Aberdeen Christian is tied for second with Blake Larson of Wessington Springs. Both have a 77.
