DCI investigating shooting incident involving police in Sisseton

SISSETON, S.D.—South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Director David Natvig confirmed today that DCI agents are assisting local authorities in a shooting incident in Sisseton that occurred Wednesday night.

A Sisseton Police Department officer, conducting a traffic stop, was shot at by an individual. The officer was not injured.

Natvig says in a press release that, “both the shooter and the driver of the vehicle are in custody.”

The investigation is ongoing.
