DEADWOOD, S.D. – The Deadwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call at the Deadwood Mountain Grand building on Monday night.
Fire officials say at 7:20 p.m., crews were dispatched to the Deadwood Mountain Ground in reference to an electrical fire in the roof.
When crews arrived on the scene there were visible flames in the roofing of the building.
The business was evacuated for the safety of the patrons and employees.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire with minimal damage to the business.
The Deadwood Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by the Lead Volunteer Fire Department, Deadwood Police Department, Lead Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, Lawrence County Emergency Management, Black Hills Energy, and the Lead-Deadwood Monument Health Ambulance.
