DEADWOOD, S.D. – According to statistics released by the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, Deadwood’s September 2022 gaming handle was down 5.37 percent over September of 2021, with slot machine handle decreasing by 6.07 percent, when compared to September of 2021.
The table game handle increased by 5.37 percent when compared to September’s 2021 table game handle.
Deadwood’s sports wagering handle was up 60.49 percent when compared to September 2021, the inaugural month of sports wagering.
Deadwood gaming operators rewarded players with $1,497,989 in “free-play” for the month of September, leaving taxable adjusted gross revenues of $13,489,928 for September of 2022.
“While September overall revenues were down slightly, 2022 has been another exceptional year for Deadwood gaming,” said Mike Rodman, executive director of the Deadwood Gaming Association. “We are currently close in YTD revenue with last year’s record-breaking year.”
