Deadwood’s December Gaming Revenues Up 18.29%

DEADWOOD, S.D. – According to statistics released today by the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, Deadwood’s overall gaming revenues were up 18.29 percent over December of 2023, with slot machine handle increasing by 16.96 percent, when compared to December of 2022.

The table game handle increased by 32.31 percent when compared to 2022 December’s table game handle.

Deadwood’s sports wagering handle was up 50.99 percent when compared to December 2022.

Deadwood gaming operators rewarded players with $1,888,609 in “free-play” for the month of December, leaving taxable adjusted gross revenues of $9,605,022 for December of 2023.

“With December’s strong performance we have set a new record for Deadwood gaming,” said Mike Rodman, executive director of the Deadwood Gaming Association. “Sports wagering’s set a new record monthly increase in December also.”
