Defense Showcases Strengths in BHSU Spring Game Victory

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The defense flexed their muscles on Tuesday afternoon at Lyle Hare Stadium in the 2025 edition of the Black Hills State football spring game, securing a 50-20 victory over the offense.

Of the 17 drives on the day, the defense forced a total of nine three and outs with the help of the pressure of the defensive line, while also adding a pair of forced turnovers as Avant Wright and Chase Stewart notched interceptions.

The offense built momentum late as Jake Blair led three scoring drives that resulted in two field goals and one touchdown, and Luke Duby led one touchdown drive.
