PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Health says there were 25 new cases of COVID-19 Monday.
Pennington County reported 6 new cases, sending their cumulative total to 641 and there are currently 145 active cases. That is up 5 from Sunday.
Meade County also reported a new case today, sending their cumulative total to 54 with 8 active cases.
Other new cases across Western South Dakota include one each in Custer and Dewey counties.
The statewide active case total is 872 Monday. That is up 10 from Sunday.
The number of people hospitalized is 63, up 10 from yesterday.
There were no new deaths reported today, so the state’s death toll remained at 109.
