PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health listed 435 new COVID cases in their weekly report issued today.
Hospitalizations increased this week to 48 total and 21 new patients being hospitalized.
There were five new deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll to 3,214.
New cases this week around the Black Hills area included 52 in Pennington County, 8 in Meade County and 7 in Lawrence County.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota County reported 14, Custer County had 5, Fall River County added 4 and Butte County had just one new case.
