RAPID CITY, S.D. – District 32 Senator Helene Duhamel says she has tested positive for COVID-19.
The diagnosis came after Duhamel returned from Pierre, where she attended the Governor’s budget speech.
The night before the address, Duhamel was with other key lawmakers in the Governor’s Mansion, to discuss the budget proposal over a meal.
She didn’t feel symptomatic during the event, later that evening, began to feel a nausea and a headache.
She got tested Wednesday and the test came back positive for COVID-19.
