Donald James Anderson passed away on June 11,2024 at the age of 62 after a life long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Don was born October 14, 1962 to Melvin and Jane Anderson. He graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1981, where he was active in many sports including football, basketball, and summer baseball. Don always had a passion for cars and attended Denver Diesel Mechanic School. His career was cut short by his diagnosis but he always maintained his love of cars and enjoyed many rides in his GTO.
Despite facing significant challenges, due to his lifelong battle with multiple sclerosis, he always had a positive attitude and brought joy and laughter to those around him. Everyone who knew him will remember his witty sense of humor.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Melvin; brothers, Thomas and Joseph; and beloved mother and longtime caregiver, Jane
He is survived by his sister, Diane; brothers, Doug and Bill; and numerous family members and friends.
Graveside services for Don will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs, SD on Monday June 24 at 11am. Services will be followed by a reception at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
