Dry, windy conditions fuel several small grass fires Sunday

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Very dry and windy weather made for high wildfire danger Sunday.

The Rapid City Fire Department responded to a grass fire off of Bunker Drive Sunday evening.

The fire was quickly contained to one acre. No structures were threatened.

Fire officials say the fire appears to be human caused.

Meanwhile, the Rockerville Fire Department responded Sunday to multiple small grass fires along Neck Yoke Road, between Windmill Road and the top of the hill on Coyote Flats early Sunday afternoon.

There was no word on the cause of those fires.
