PIERRE, S.D. – Another eight deaths were reported in Wednesday’s COVID-19 report from the South Dakota Department of Health, sending the state’s death toll to 2,419.
New cases Wednesday totaled 448 with 112 of those listed as probable.
Active cases are down to 7,065 and the number of people hospitalized because of the virus dropped more than a dozen today to 271.
New cases across the Black Hills included 41 in Pennington County with 5 of those listed as probable.
Meade County reported 9 new cases and Lawrence County had 7 confirmed and one probable new case.
Elsewhere, Butte County tallied 5 new cases and Fall River County added two.
