PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota legislative leaders are making final preparations for the upcoming legislative session.
Part of that effort is providing money to help the Douglas School District build a 62-million dollar Elementary School…needed for the expected influx of airmen and their families coming to Ellsworth Air Force Base with the new B-21 Raider Bomber.
Represenative Gary Cammack (cuh-MACK) told the Legislature’s Executive Board that tens of millions of dollars have already been raised for the effort…but the project still needs another 15-million.
Cammack says preparations for the B-21 expansion has already created more than One and a half billion dollars worth of construction at the base.
Currently, his committee isn’t able to share much information on its work because testimony has come in executive session.
