Faith Lady Longhorns headed to State B Girls Tournament

UNDATED – The Faith Lady Longhorns are headed to the girls Class B State Basketball tournament with a 55-36 win over Kimbal/White Lake in their SoDak 16 game last night.

They will be the only West River team as Newell fell to Faulkton 56 to 47 and New Underwood lost to Castlewood 58-21.

The eight teams in the State B Tournament include Faith, Castlewood, Corsica/Stickney, DeSmet, Ethan, Faulkton, Howard and Irene-Wakonda.

The Girls Class B State Basketball Tournament is next weekend in Spearfish.

In Girls Class A Region action, St Thomas More is headed to the SoDak 16 with a 44-16 romp over Lead-Deadwood. Joining them will be Hill City, who beat Belle Fourche in a thriller — 61 to 54 in overtime. Red Cloud is also headed to the SoDak 16 with a 66 to 58 win over Pine Ridge.
