DEADWOOD, S.D. – According to statistics released today by the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, Deadwood’s February 2023 gaming handle was up 2.30 percent over February of 2022, with slot machine handle increasing by 2.26 percent, when compared to February of 2022.
The table game handle increased by 2.70 percent when compared to 2022 February’s table game handle.
Deadwood’s sports wagering handle was up 4.60 percent when compared to February 2022.
Deadwood gaming operators rewarded players with $1,482,093 in “free-play” for the month of February, leaving taxable adjusted gross revenues of $9,669,4163 for February of 2023.
“2023 certainly is off to a good start,” said Mike Rodman, executive director of the Deadwood Gaming Association. “We are glad to see 2023 up 1.11% year to date over last year’s strong performance.”
Deadwood’s sports wagering handle of over $700,000, was led by wagers on the NCAA Men’s Basketball.
