RAPID CITY, S.D. – The annual Festival of Relays was held in Rapid City on Tuesday.
On the boys side, Rapid City Stevens scored the first three places in the 3,200 meters. Simeon Birnbaum won the race with his teammates Alex Otten and Joey Dewhurst finishing in second and third. Deron Graf of Sturgis came in fourth.
Aiden Hedderman of Sturgis was a double event winner, as he captured the 110 meter hurdles and the pole vault.
Tanner Lunders of Rapid City Stevens won the 300 meter hurdles.
Rapid City Stevens won the 4 x 100 meter relay and the 4 x 200. Rapid City Central captured the 4 x 800.
Brayden Delahoyde of Spearfish won the high jump.
In women’s results, Gracie Uhre of Stevens won the 3,200 meters and Baylee Van Zee of Stevens won the 100 meter hurdles. Anna Hoffman of Spearfish won the 300 meter hurdles. Hannah Kilinger of Sturgis finished in third.
Winning the relay races include Rapid City Central in the 4 x 100, Rapid City Stevens in the 4 x 200 and Spearfish in the 4 x 800.
Sturgis won the Swedish 100-200-300-400 meters.
Lexi Long of Sturgis won the shot put, Mandalyn Nachtigall of Douglas captured the discus. Matayah Yellow Mule of Rapid City Central won the high jump and the long jump and Reese Nida of Spearfish won the pole vault.
